Employment Services

Pentru Voi enables people with developmental disabilities to develop the skills they need for the workplace. With the right support and opportunities people with developmental disabilities are able to make a valuable contribution in the community and in the workplace.

We create a vocational profile and work closely with the individual to build up the confidence and skills they need to achieve their aspirations. At the present we have 92 service users employed, out of which 61 within our Social Enterprise and 32 on the open market.

The range of practical support and training Pentru Voi provides includes:
* training on how to get to and from work using public transport
* mock interviews to build confidence and help overcome tension situations
* placements for people who will benefit from work experience before searching for a permanent job
* on-the-job training to help people get settled in and understand what the job requires
* ongoing support and advice if any difficulties arise or if any further skills training is needed

Employing people with developmental  disabilities can have wide-ranging benefits for employers:

* the chance to lead the way in an area of corporate social responsibility that very few employers have embraced in a strategic way
* the benefits of a link to Pentru Voi Foundation, a leading developmental disability NGO, with its strong brand awareness
* opportunities for positive media attention
* increased opportunities for existing staff to develop management and mentoring skills
