Timisoara , April the 13th, 2009
„Pentru Voi” Foundation, with the financial support from Vodafone România Foundation, will develop during April – December 2009, the project „10 000 fresh rolls For You”, an anti-poverty initiative.
Every month, 10.000 rolls will be offered to social services providers from Timis County , for people in poverty. The rolls are made by adults with intellectual disabilities, employees of the bakery run by the “Pentru Voi” Foundation.
„We try to help people who are the most exposed to the consequences of the economic crisis, by providing them the every-day bread. In the same time, this program creates jobs for four persons with intellectual disabilities, employed as bakers” states Laila Onu, Executive Director of „Pentru Voi” Foundation.
„We hope our help brings a positive change in the lives of those with little financial possibilities and offers them a reliable, constant support. By sustaining this program we continue our 10 years old Foundation's efforts to ensure a better life for a greater number of people”, said Elena Serban, director of Vodafone România Foundation.
We will take the opportunity to invite the social canteens, psychiatry hospitals and non-governmental organizations which provide social services for people in the state of poverty, to apply for this project. For further details please contact: Betty Varga
