Autism Film Festival is an unique event in our country, presenting three movies about adults with autism and their life: love and pain, acceptance and mockery, suffering and hope. The movies take the public to a different world, a world we might live in without even knowing that – the special world of people with autism.
„We wish that at the end of the festival the public to understand better what autism really means, how hard it is for a young person with autism to understand the surrounding environment, what sacrifices the parents make and how important is the other’s attitude. We hope to convince the community that tolerance and acceptance are essentially for these people to have a genuine life in the middle of the community, among their peers”, declared Laila Onu, CEO of “Pentru Voi” Foundation.
Come and let’s rediscover together an universe of numbers, stereotypes and fears, in which people can barely be understood because they are unpredictable – it’s the same universe you live in!

The event is set up within the anti-stigmatization campaign regarding autism, organized through the project “Autism doesn’t disappear at 18!”, financed by the European Union by PHARE 2006 – Support for the development of community mental health services and the deinstitutionalization of persons with mental health disorders.
Autism Film Fest – is the first film festival on the topic of autism in Romania, it is organized by „Pentru Voi” Foundation, and will take place in June 22 and 23, in Timisoara.
