Foundation “Pentru Voi” participated on 20 June to the third edition of the Ducks' Race, an evnet organised by Rotaract Timişoara under Rotary Timişoara.

„Pentru Voi” competed with 9 beneficiaries of the program "A Friend for You!" , to promote the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and to prove that these people too can involve actively in the activities run by the local community - the community they are also living in.

The contest aimed to encouraje the citizens of Timişoara – persons with or without disabilities, to contribute to a charitable action, but also to spend time together and enjoy the city.

The Festival Bega Bulevard closed with a show performed by Cover Band and other well-known pop-rock artists from Timisoara.

The program has been carried out since 2007 and aims at the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, allowing interested persons to engage in voluntary activities, that is to spend time with a person with intellectual disabilities. So far, the program includes more than 30 pairs of mentor-disciple, but we want to increase their numbers in the future.

The event is part of the project "The Social Economy - a chance for people with intellectual disabilities", co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007 - 2013 — ”Invest in People”,
