Maria and Eli, accompanied by the sports instructor Claudia Turcu , participated in June at the Special Olympics National Games, from where they returned with two gold medals and one silver.

At the field events, speed 25 meters, Maria qualified the final and won the silver medal. Eli was forced to withdraw from the competition, suffering a mild ankle sprain. Basketball events consisted of three steps: target shooting, dribbling and shooting at the basket. Our team won a gold medal and a silver through Maria and Eli.

250 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their companions, from 21 counties, have competed at the Special Olympics National Games at Satu Mare, in samples: athletics, basketball and football.
