Mr. Laurens Elmendorp (The Netherlands), president of the board of Pentru Voi Foundation, was decorated by the President of Romania, Mr. Ion Iliescu, with the National Order for Merit, Orderly Officer.

This distinction is a symbol of recognition of the special role he had in the social area in Romania, especially in intellectual disability field.

Mr. Victor Wahlstrom (Sweden), past president of Inclusion International and member in the UN panel of experts in disability issue received the same National Order for Merit, Orderly Officer.

Mr. Victor Wahlstrom is an important personality in the field of disability, internationally recognized. He coordinates in Romania the Parents Mobilization Action Group and fights for the recognition of the disability issue as a human rights one. He was the chair person in the conferences organized by Pentru Voi in March 2003 and February 2004.

Diplomas of honor of Timis county Prefecture

Tienke Brouwer and Joze Janssen, members of the board of Pentru Voi Foundation were awarded, for their whole activity in the social field in Timisoara, by the Prefect of Timis County, Mr. Horia Ciocarlie. They received the diplomas, by the occasion of festive ceremony, on 2nd of December.
